Amy Nordby

With a B.A. from Franklin Pierce University in Graphic Communications with a minor in Fine Arts, Amy begin painting surrealism paintings after being inspired by Salvador Dali’s “Persistence of Memory”.

Now, Amy has fine tuned her techniques and uses reactive metallic paints, acrylic resins and other materials to create vibrant, expressive explosions of color.  Her abstract paintings explore the chemistry of combining different reactive paints and the fractal like images that result.  Using resin in her works, Amy creates deep cavernous multi-layered 3D paintings where her paint and other mixed materials seem to float forever in crystal clear glass.

Amy has also taken her paintings to the next level in her digital work.
