Renata Santamarina – Quantum Collection (Preview)

Below is a preview of Renata Santamarina’s next exhibition inspired by Quantum Physics. This work below, “Schrödinger’s Paradox” is her take on the Schrödinger’s Cat thought experiment.

But in her own style, Renata’s painting allows you to see “inside” of the bubble where the cats are – seeing that both possibilities are present, unlike Schrödinger’s Paradox where both possibilities of the cat being alive or dead depend on the viewer opening the box. Renata does this to reference the wisdom of an alchemist, a person that already accepts the coexistence of parallel universes. In this painting, the movement of particles in quantum physics correspond to the arrangement determined in the parallel women’s heads.
